I'm motivated now, I am just praying it lasts!

I'm Jenelle, 22, very over weight. I'm excited, though. This time could be THE time. I need to really do this if I want to grow old with my husband or be healthy enough for babies one day soon.

    Woo hoo!!

Good for you. The first few weeks are the hardest. Take it one decision at the time and don't give up!
  • You CAN do this!! I'm 24 so I sympathize with the challenges that come with being young and trying to lose weight. Sometimes your lifestyle (social life, work environment, etc.) may not be conducive to weight loss and healthy living. My first suggestion would be to get your husband on board. Having his support is going to really keep you on track. Share your frustrations and challenges with him as well as close friends - the more they know, the more they may be able to help (ex: Friends may refrain from putting out a bowl of potato chips when having a social gathering). Having a support system is so important. And that's what the people at MyFitnessPal can provide you as well. We are all experiencing a lot of the same challenges and successes. Let us help!
Finally, I want to tell you this because I know I struggle with this mentality sometime - just because you are young does not mean that what you do to your body is "forgivable". Sure, the younger you are the more time you have to change but we are doing damage to our body now that will follow us for the rest of our lives. It's time to take control if we want to be healthy, and in your case, have kids and be role models. You CAN do this! Good luck =)
