Using Runtastic Pedometer/adjusting activity level?

I just started using a the Runtastic Pedometer to achieve my goal of 10.000 steps per day and I linked it to MFP. However, walking more also increases my activity level (I don't walk superfast but I'm obese and started walking halfway to work before getting the bus)..if I link the pedometer to mfp and set my activity level to lightly active and on top of that it tracks my steps, wouldn't it count double? i usually don't eat the extra allowance it gives me when tracking my steps anyway but i thought to be on the safe side i would need to set my activity level to sedentary wouldn't I?

Activity level is highly subjective. As I look at it, your activity level is based on your activity that you do not track as exercise.
If you are sedentary without your pedometer than that is your activity level.
If you are lightly active without your pedometer than that is your activity level.0
