I'm a college student, and most of my day is spent in class or at home. I walk to class/to the bus to get to another campus, and I go to the gym three or four times a week. In my settings I said I'm sedentary, and I'm losing at a good rate. But should I consider myself lightly active?

Sedentary unless that is a really significant distance you are walking - your gym exercise doesn't count towards your activity setting on MFP.
If you are "losing at a good rate" why do you feel the need to change? The base settings just give you a start point, actual results over time matter much more.0
