Inches not weight-experience at same weight range?

My weight is staying in the same range. I am losing inches, but every pound I lose is a pound I dont have to carry during runs etc. I am curious to peoples experience with inches before the weight.
5' 8", Male, 36, 235 Ownindex 29 based on my watch. Resting heartrate 62
*I workout twice a day about 4 times a week (morning run with the dogs, evening is P90x/Insanity Hybrid)
*Follow a restricted Paleo diet (Including: No dairy, no breads, no legumes, no cheating, rarely eat out, water with lemon juice only, (I pee clear or light yellow). Hate salting food. Dont graze, if i eat it I log it
*Check my weight several times a day, but variations of 5lbs are common. I only record lows, water weight flucuations dont bother me, as I only log lows. I do this out of curiousity. I realize the run 2lbs is water, and by the end of the day it is back.
*25-45 minute run most weekday mornings
*3 minute plank hold daily
*p90x/Insanity Hybrid primary fitness program
*Paleo: I do a food log out of curiosity to log my meals (I do use a food scale), but I dont concern myself with eating a certain amount of calories. If hungry I eat one of the following: meat, vegetable, almonds, fruit. I am not having a problem of crashing during workouts. I like eating this way, dropping the restricted foods I am ok with currently.
*Breakfast: 4 eggs, fajita mix (onions and peppers pre cut), 1/2 tsp of cocount oil, 4 fish oils
*Lunch: 13 ounces of chicken and 1 lb of celery
*Dinner: 13 ounces of chicken and 2 green peppers
*Snack: 2 servings of almonds
Most days I am around 60%F, 30P, and 10% Carbs or 45%F, 45%P and 10%carbs
Variations would be occasionally adding some pineapple, bacon, coconut oil.
March 10, 2014 I was at 256 and my low was 235 on April 7. I realize that was a fast drop, that is why I am asking the question. How long did you stay at the same weight, while losing inches? Losing inches is not superior as I still have to carry the weight during a run, but losing inches first then weight I would be ok with.
I do use a Polar FT40 with a chest strap, have my data entered in the setting..
My food scale is digital
I realize inches lost is a sign it is working, my question is: At a particiular weight, how long did you stayi in the same range before dropping again.
Thank You for taking the time to respond

So I think what you are asking is something like: "how long will it take to see the # drop on the scale?"
I think the answer to this question is personal. I know that I started out at the gym (just running), it took about a year and a half to drop 10lbs. I started out at about 139lbs (I'm 5'3). So, I wasn't overweight. I wasn't also necessarily "dieting" either. I dropped 1 pants size.
Since last July (so about 9 months), I have been strength-training (plus still running, but running less). I've only lost maybe 3lbs. I've dropped inches though. I have dropped 2.5 pants sizes.
If you've lost inches...but are the same weight, that's better than just "losing #s on the scale" in my opinion.0
