help! too much sodium

So the last few weeks my sodium numbers here have been crazy high leading my to drink 10 gallons of water a day. But the sodium is all coming from healthy things like fish, greek yogurt, cottage cheese, and celery. It's all making me so bloated- I can't stop drinking enough water!! Is it ok to have these high numbers in sodium or should I just cut out these healthy things? I've been trying to switch it up and just not eat them all everyday. Any thoughts/suggestions?

I don't understand. Looking back at your diary for the past couple weeks I think I saw one or two days with sodium in the red. And those days the sodium came from things like hot wings. And on those days you were *just* over the sodium limit, not overly so.
I seriously hope you're not drinking 10 gallons of water a day - you'll do more damage to your body that way than by being over on sodium by less than 200 mg.0 -
LOL- yeah no i'm not drinking 10 gallons it just feels like it. right now i'm on the 5th glass of water. I just feel soo parched and dry mouth. as if I drank a container of salt. should I try something else? ice- tea maybe??0

Now this could be completely wrong, but one symptom of diabetes is a never ending thirst. But 5 glasses of water during the day isn't necessarily crazy over the top. I don't think its your sodium based on your diary.0

Yeah, looking back a few days, your sodium is usually under 2000. Also, are you truly fully logging your days? There are days where you are barely reaching 900 cals...0

A lot of the fish you are eating is premade/preseasoned - which means you are getting all the stuff put in (including high salt additions) during processing to make it taste better. I can relate to appreciating their convenience of them, but I know my salt always gets kicked up when I do (I try to keep mine around 1700mg). Pizza sauce/canned tomatoes (Veg in general) and processed meats can really pack a lot as well.
There are a lot of good recipes out there for fish that are really simple to throw together in a short period of time - search Pinterest and you will find a ton of them. I generally leave salt out when I cook, and if I need an extra kick of flavor I take fresh lime (a tip learned in South America) instead of salt. Costco or Sams Club are my favorite places to go for fish - they have a great selection of frozen, unseasoned varieties - Cod, Salmon, Tilapia.
None of the days I looked at that were over, or if they were it was by a small amount, but if you are concerned about the levels starting by cutting prepared foods out and cooking fresh for most meals0
