Inconspicuous Device.

Hello all:

I am getting ready to start the Umpiring season and would like to find some device that can record my on the field workouts, preferably miles. We wear nothing that doesn't match the uniform so any fitbit watch like device or anything of the nature is out. It has to fit in my pocket without being obvious.

I'm also on a pretty tight budget.

I imagine a pedometer would work but do those count miles or just steps?

suggestions and/or tips requested.

A fitbit zip or fitbit one works great, both do miles, steps and calories. Zip is about $50 and One is about $100, both can go in your pocket.

A watch is not part of the uniform and I think the Fitbit One is what I'm looking for. Thank you for the replies.

Most pedometers probably have the ability to set a stride length and from that estimate miles.

I have the Fitbit One - clip it to the waist of my pants, or to my pocket facing inward usually. Love it.

Look for sales. Target often has it for $5-10 off, and if you have a Target card you get 5% off of any Target purchase. Best Buy sometimes has a coupon code for 10-15% off online ordering, and sometimes a deal at Amazon.
