I use chicken or turkey sausage; much leaner.0

It is a high fat item ... But I mix a little in with spaghetti sauce, or meatloaf. If you like stuffed green peppers or cabbage rolls you could use a little in the meat mix. These are ways you can use it in smaller amounts at a time.0

I also use turkey or chicken sausage, but not too often and no more than one sausage per person.
I slice them and season with paprika (no salt!), and brown them in vegetable spray. I mixed them with previously sauteed onions, peppers, mushrooms and spinach or broccoli or zuchini. It is a good way to get additional vegetables in the diet and to bulk the portions. You can serve it over brown rice.
