gym routine

the chicago weather forced me indoors up until last week. for cardio and toning, i was doing jillian's shred, but if i have to see/hear her one more time, i will scream. that and jogging around my apartment is getting old. fast.

does anyone have a good regiment for back/arm days? i was hoping to maintain at least 3day/week focusing on this and i freely admit i am a beginner at most things machine/lifting-related.

how many reps on how many different machines do people recommend? cardio before or after?

i appreciate any advice/suggestions!
