Am I on the right path?

Hello! So I finally decided it's time to lose the extra weight. I'm 5'5 and weigh 161lbs. I started using this sight about a week and half ago and I like it. My goal is to lose about 30 lbs and I did actually lose 2 lbs. last week. I'm pretty happy about that.
I've been using my treadmill 6 days a week for 30 minutes a day varying the speed from 3.0 to 3.5 and varying the incline as well. I pretty much change something every 2 minutes on it. (the speed and incline). I've been eating about 1500 calories a day and that seems to be going ok. I also do push ups, crunches, etc on an exercise ball every other day.
I was wondering if anyone has any advice at all about if I'm going about this right? Thanks!

Well I'm not sure if it is right or wrong, but I'm similiar in height and weight and doing almost all the exact same routines. Also the same calorie intake. I started this routine about a year ago and lost 10lbs. I got off track and have been stuck, but now I'm starting anew again and hope to do more this time around! Been back on track for a week and half and have lost a pound so far. I think it will work as long as you stick to it. Good luck!!!0

Sounds familiar - though if I don't feel like heading down to the basement (treadmill) some days I run in place on a mini trampoline, or walk in the neighborhood. Whatever it takes to get my steps for the day at least above 10k-12k. I eat generally 1400-1600 per day. I'm 5' 5.5", 39 years old, and now around 152-155 depending on the day. Was 178 at Christmas, and aiming for around 140 or so.
Keep doing the right things - eating at a deficit most days, getting a range of nutrients, and being active. Look for non-scale victories - like find a pair of pants that don't quite fit now and try them in a couple of weeks. Know the body's weight will fluctuate up & down from sodium, hormones, sleep patterns, etc. But in the end we will lose weight by eating at a deficit. And it will benefit us in multiple ways to be active.0 -
Thanks, it sounds like you are doing really well! I turned 43 this year and something just clicked that it's time to get back to a healthier me. I appreciate your advice.0
