Body fat measurement tools - question...

Hi guys!
I recently had a friend of mine (who was a personal trainer) tell me something about the body fat measurement tools. She basically says that the handheld ones only measure body fat on the upper body, since the current flows through your arms; similarly, the ones on the scale measure only lower body fat %.
Does anyone know if this is true? Somewhat true? And if so, is there any way to actually measure your full body fat percentage??
Thanks!

I don't know whether or not that's true. I've been told the best way to measure body fat is with a dunk tank, followed by calipers as second best. Both of those measure total body fat.
Not sure where you are, but the kineseology department at my university does body fat testing for cheap - $5-$10. I think it's more accurate than a gym because they want use the results for their research projects. Maybe you could check universities in your town to see if they do it too?0 -
I think I will check that out! Thank you!0
