Does insanity work for everyone?

I've been on and off insanity because I've been losing motivation. I'm just trying to lose around 4-5 inches from my belly. If I follow a healthy diet, will it work?

I think your nutrition is the key to losing those inches. I did the first month of Insanity without following the meal plan and didn't see any results. Then in month 2 I followed the plan and logged everything and ended up losing 17 lbs. So yep, get the nutrition in check and you will see results!

I agree. I did 2 months and ate whatever I wanted and lost 3 pounds. I did a second round and followed the meal plan to a T and lost 8. I didn't really have alot to lose but the nutrition plan really helped.

yep! presuming that you have 4-5 inches to lose of course!... i dont know your stats but some people just arent the shape to have much of a waist!

you'll get the best results if you follow the whole programme for the 60 days.

First time I did the program, I didn't follow any sort of meal plan or calorie restriction. I lost nothing, but I'm sure I built some muscle under the fat.

Second time I did the program I started on mfp at 1200 net cals per day (I was going from 130 to 110 pounds) and I lost almost all the weight I was trying to lose before I finished the program and switched to elliptical workouts.

If you do it consistently - follow the provided calendar - and restrict calories, then you'll see results.

If you are in a calorie deficit, you'll lose weight. You can't spot reduce your stomach, but it will shrink if you're losing fat everywhere.

EDIT: (I can't guarantee 4-5 inches off your stomach because I don't know your body type or weight level right now, but for example my waist went from 26.5 inches to 24.5 inches)

The Insanity have a specific meal plan? Because I see they have some sort of recovery formula, which is something I don't know if I can get my hands on money-wise. My meal plan was:

    - Have fruit in every ~300 calorie breakfast. Probably a smoothie or oatmeal with dry fruits (with no added sugar).
    - Have vegetables every lunch or dinner, ~300 and ~400/500 calories respectively. Also to enough protein in my lunch.
    - Have as much fruits and vegetables as possible in general. Generally, have a plant-based diet. I'm a vegetarian, but I meant for that to be a plant-based diet not just a no meat diet.
    - Cut down on simple carbs, cut down on junk food and sugar, cut down on dairy products.
    - Drink water before and after every meal (which would be six cups).
    - Eat 1200 calories a day.

1200 cals isn't enough for insanity. I would also recommend trying to get plenty of protein - 100g per day at least.

Yes. It comes with a recipe book that has a ton of recipes for meals during the day.

I tried a few of the recipes and they were quite good.
