If you'd have told me I would be down 21 lbs and would be able to run a 5K during lunch at work 9 months ago I'd have laughed! Granted it was a slower time (34:27) and I had to walk a little, I'm still pretty proud of the accomplishment. I'm guessing it will be even easier when I can get these last 30 lbs off!

Thanks for all your encouragement, it really does help! I can't wait for the day that I can post a before and after pic on here! :)

    great job!
can't believe u manage to workout on lunch breaks, much less a 5k.
I wanna do one but i've never been much of a runner so i'm a little intimidated.

    keep it up!

Well done! I love getting my workout done during my lunch break. I try to swim atleast one day a week and its so much easier doing it at lunch time than trying to find a babysitter outside of work hours.

Thanks again everyone for the encouragement! We have a "bootcamp" at work where a physical trainer comes in twice a week and kicks our butts (about 20 people are in the Monday & Wednesday lunch sessions with me). I've been doing the boot camp for about 15 weeks now. They had a 5K during the first 12 week session too, but I was too chicken to participate! Pretty happy right now, can't wait to do another one after losing more weight!

I definitely know how lucky I am to have the boot camp. I haven't really lost weight because of it (I held steady at 202 lbs or so through the first 12 week session) but it has definitely helped me feel stronger and in better shape. Starting September 1st I started eating better and that (combined with the boot camp) has helped me to lose 10 lbs since then. I just hope they continue the boot camp for another session in January 2011! :)
