Taking Tamoxifen.....weight gain!

Over a year ago, I quit smoking (was a casual/social smoker), took an extended vacation in Maui, and then found out I had breast cancer. So I gained a few pounds after I stopped smoking, gained a few more in Maui (ice cream and pineapples EVERYDAY), and am now taking Tamoxifen (more pounds). This all added up to about 18 pounds. Now I'm trying to take off all this extra weight.
Does anyone else have experience taking tamoxifen? Does the weight gain taper off...
