Beef vs Turkey

Depends on the meat. Grass fed beef is very nutritious, much more so than factory farmed. The Omega 3's are higher in grassfed (good) and the Omega 6's are higher in factory farmed, corn fed (we need Omega 6 as well but most of us have too much of it), amoung other health benefits.
That's such a misnomer. They aren't in factories, they are put in feed lots for the last few months of their lives and fed a lot of corn in order to increase the fat on them.
That said, I prefer the taste of grass fed too.
Edit to add this tangent: I worked on one as a kid. One of the first built that was designed by Temple Grandin. Cool lady.0 -
Even if ground turkey was leaner or some how magically better, I just hate the flavor. I can handle it in tacos - maybe even chili but spaghetti has to be beef. Sometime you just got to go with taste so you don't feel like its a diet. Nothing wrong with doing combo plates as well - smaller steak with chicken breast? That's my version.
No. Spaghetti has to be pork.
I'm willing to fisticuffs over this.0 -

I REALLY dislike ground beef in spaghetti (which is the way my mother made it).0 -
Italian Pork Sausage is the only appropriate meat for Spaghetti...
Unless you're making homemade meatballs (which are beef, not turkey, silly).
In my defense, I simply hate turkey. I think it smells so foul I want to gag thinking of it. Foul Fowl.0 -
There doesn't appear to be a huge difference between beef and turkey, so it doesn't really matter which you eat in terms of calories. I'm a vegetarian but my husband isn't and he can't tell the difference between Morningstar Griller Crumbles and ground beef in recipes. It's only 145.5 calories/100 grams. I've also heard good things about Lightlife Gimme Lean ground beef substitute.0

The taste is totally better! I'm with many people on here, I like a whole piece of poultry but something is off about the flavor of ground poultry...I honestly do not know what it is. Since there's not much nutritional benefit I just stick with ground beef when I need a ground meat...or maybe ground venison...mmmm!0 -
Sausage though, turkey sausage is a lot lower in calories than pork sausage. Spaghetti.
And unlike turkey bacon, turkey sausage actually tastes really good!0
