not losing weight

I am 5'4" 250 lb and have struggled with my weight for 10 years since I had a really bad reaction to birth control. For 6 weeks I have been counting calories. I range between 1200 and 2000 (usually disneyland days), and work out a average of 250 burned calories a day including walking to work ( 2 miles), weight lifting, core training, and cardio work outs with the turbo fire program. On average my net calorie end up 1350 a day. I have also cut out 90% Of processed foods and starches, take vitamins, drink primarily water and switched to as many natural or healthy alternatives I can. I also eat small meals throughout the day to help keep my body working. All of this and I haven't lost a pound or an inch. My doctor says my thyroid is in the "normal range" (which they also were while having birth control isdues which confused my doctor back then) and refuses to send me to a specialist. I dont feel this is normal and am considering changing doctors in order to get a second opinion, thoughts?

    Open up your diary.

If you aren't weighing everything on a digital food scale and logging it, then you're probably eating more then you think.

Do you log everything you eat/drink? How do you measure your portions?

What is your daily calorie goal? Have you stayed at or below that exact amount for a few weeks straight? You can lose weight. We all can. It is very simple. Not necessarily easy, but simple.

Don't make it more complicated than it needs to be. Let MFP set your calorie goal for a one pound a week weight loss. Buy a food scale. Weigh all solids and measure all liquids. Log the foods as accurately as possible by selecting the weight entry in the database over the cup entries. If you find an entry that says 100g, and your serving size is 78 grams, then change the portion amount from "1" to "0.78" (as an example). Do this for 6 weeks and you WILL lose weight.

this is generic as your diary is closed:

    weight loss <> calories deficit

if you're not loosin then your are either overestimating excercise or underestimating consumption

tracking accurately is tedious but it works, don't forget to log cooking fats, fruits, snacks, alcohol, and remember that weighing is a lot more accurate than using cups/spoons
