To dunk... or not to dunk? That is the question.

Dunk of course.. but using a fork so it doesn't break.
:noway:
That's like eating pizza with a fork and knife. So, so wrong.0 -

haha. This is what to do in public. However, when you're home, alone, you know this happens:0 -
I don't understand the draw of soggy food, and NOTHING violates the sanctity of my glass of milk!0

Once, my dad took the left over milk from my bowl of Corn Pops to put in his coffee and said it was nice 'cuz it was already sweetened....I never forgave him to this day. :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :sick: :0 -

Doughnuts - Nosireebob.
I agree with MS Simpson.
I do dunk certain items but my all time favorite is:
Chocolate fudge brownies into a a small amount of Makers Mark soooooo much flavor .....
Just one old man's opinion .......0 -
Rules on dunking a food item in to a liquid beverage or sauce:
Rule #1 - said food item can not be rendered soggy and/or mushy
Rule #2 - if dunked in to beverage, food item can not render said beverage unpalatable with a preponderance of mushy crumb pollution.
Sandwiches dunked in au jus violate rule number 1.
ANYTHING dunked in my glass of milk violates rule number 2.
Cake doughnuts violate both rules 1 and 2
While I have not personally experimented with glazed doughnuts, unless said glaze provides a water tight encasement, I assume they violate rule number 1.
Possibly the only acceptable item postulated thus far is the biscotti, which, through a process of advanced scientific testing and well rendered engineering, has the ability to absorb the liquid coffee without violating rules 1 or 2.0 -
I could have swore this thread was asking "Too drunk or not too drunk?"

To dunk... or not to dunk: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer the dryness of thine savory pastry
The fork, spoon and knife of outrageous fortune,
Or to dunk them in a sea of milk and coffee,
And by opposing, end them, to their milky death: to moisten;
Many a night, I've pondered upon this question --
tossing and turning, to and fro
The heart-ache and the thousand crumbs
That flour is heir to, for consumption
Devoutly to be wish'd to their milky death: to moisten;
For whilst they moisten, what taste may come
As the tongue puts the pastry out of its misery,
However the decision must not be made in haste;
Nay -- it is a decision that requires complete and utter contemplation
For it is this decision that will separate the individual man from the crowd
Tis patient merit that awaits us all
But the dread of regret when the pastry is gone
The price we shall pay for choosing the wrong
Oh dear Dunkin Donuts, Krispey Kreme, Oreo, and Keebler
Pillbury, Famous Amos, Little Debbie, and the many more that remain unnamed
Be all our sins remember'd.0 -
