this morning i was treated to an apple fritter by the boss because i had kicked a** a day last week. i enjoyed it, tracked and moved on. i didn't feel guilty, i planned my meals accordingly and rarely indulge in things like fritters, so it was all good.

however, i have been craving sweets ALL day. i know sweets are delicious and people tend to want for them, but thoughts of chocolate has wallpapered my mind. usually i have fruit and yogurt or oatmeal every morning and my mind may occasionally wander to chocolate-peanut-butter goodnss, but nothing like today. i am giving all the credit to this morning's sweet start.

i understand the powers of sugars and cravings, and i respect that power but i have rarely noticed such a change. anyone else find a sweet in the morning transforms their world to wonka world?

On a visit to Italy, an Italian friend introduced me to a cornetto and cappuccino in the morning.
From then on, I had to have it every morning. A cornetto is a custard or chocolate filled croissant sprinkled with powdered sugar.
Fresh every morning and scrumptious with a double cappuccino!
  • I definitely try to stay away from morning high fat/sugar combos or the same thing happens to me and I find myself eating all day to try to calm that urge to find more sugar / fat. Protein first thing in the morning helps me avoid that.
