Anyone else on here a fan of DWTS?

I had always heard about it and seen pictures of noteworthy performances in the daily trades, but never actually watched the show. Since I've now got full reign over the TV on Monday nights, I am a loyal watcher of the show. I find it really interesting to see the celebrities' skills progress and to see relationships build between the dancers.

So, who's your favorite couple? What's your favorite dance been? Do you think The Situation should have been voted off on week one? Are you liking the costumes...most/least liked? Do you find yourself searching online for a pair of ballroom shoes for yourself after the show? (I'll take a pair of Capezio Lucia 3" shoes in 10.5, pleaseandthanks. :D)

  • I love the dancing, I like getting to see the people and how they respond to the training pressure, but I never get to watch it live. I wishi could ballroom dance. Once my kids get older I plan on taking some lessons with my hubby.

I LOOOOVE DWTS! My friends and I get together and watch it every Monday! I am glad Hasselhoff was voted off, but yes, I would like to see "The Situation" go. My fav couples are Derek/Jennifer and Lacey/Kyle. My favorite dances are the Argentine Tango and the Paso Doble. My friend and I really want to take a ballroom dancing class... what a great form of exercise! Love it! Not a big fan of most of the costumes, as they are a little too revealing for my taste.... but I did like those tassel pants that Louis Van Amstel wore when he danced with Kelly Osborn... can't remember the dance. Maybe the Samba? Either way, it was hilarious!

corbinsmom - they really are under so much pressure during training! They have a week to learn a dance style as well as a routine. And they have do to this while balancing everything else they have in their lives...interviews, auditions, meetings, fittings, etc. What a life!

themommie - totally agree. Didn't think I was going to like her, but she's doing a great job! I loved her story-telling performance last week. It was a gorgeous dance, and she looked STUNNING.

Panda86 - guess I'm an exhibitionist 'cause I can't get enough of the costumes, especially Lacey's from this week! My fave couple is Lacey/Kyle too...Jennifer gets on my nerves. I think it's because she comes off as a drama queen to me, but she sure can dance! The Situation got the lowest score from tonight's dances, right? Here's hoping he's outta here! Bristol Palin needs to go, too. She's got a nice pair of legs, but that's about it.

I LOVE this show. It's the only show I actually plan on watching! I really like Audrina...she seems graceful and beautiful when she dances. I also have a HUGE crush on Kyle/Lacie! He has the sweetest energy about him and I totally dig it. I also expected Rick Fox to be a jerk for some reason, but he seems like he has a cute personality, too. Those are my top three

I would love love love to learn to dance like that some day....maybe I should look into it :drinker:

A fresh DWTS tonight! So far the first 30 minutes of the show has been re-cap and highlights. Bring on the TV theme week dancing!

So who was everyone's favorite TV theme dance? I thought Kyle and Lacey were too freakin' adorable, and I liked Brandy and Maksom's energy - they had such fun confidence exuding from them. Jennifer and Derek were also very good, very polished.

Bristol Palin needs to go home...or keep the gorilla suit on at all times. And while Audrina and Tony are favorites of mine, this week's dance left me a little "meh"....I wasn't a fan of her costume.

    Opinions, anyone?

Yeah her Rumba (I think it's called) freaked me out too. Call me strange, but I look forward to seeing what Brooke's wearing every week. And so does my husband.

People say it's because ALL of the Tea Party is voting for her. I don't know much about politics, but I'm shocked she's still there too! Who left last night, I only made it til 9:00. :blushing:

My theory is that her mom's campaign minions and interns are flooding the phone lines and texting like mad to keep her on the air...the more Bristol is on the air the more Sarah gets attention.

It came down to Kyle Massey and Rick Fox...Rick got the boot. :(

You are probably right. She has improved a lot, but dancers much better than her have gone home already. It's not right. Talent has to play in there somewhere. Awww....I liked Rick.

I agree that she's definitely improved but she doesn't have any emotion anywhere in her. She's so vapid and transparent...when she's doing her choreography, she just places her limbs where they need to be. There's no "oomph" or control to the movements.

Anyhoo, next week should be interesting with the instant dance!

kymarai - I liked him too! He seemed so happy all the time.
