Eating just your BMR cals?

I did my BMR about a year ago at 217lbs and I needed 2100 cals. Now at 207-8 it says my bmr is only 1900 cals. MFP has me eating 1900 cals a day. Is this normal?

I'm not sure! My BMR is roughly 1450 and my current MFP plan is 1380...I think that's because MFP is trying to get our bodies to dip into our fat stores to make up the extra energy needs, thus getting rid of extra stores of fat. But that's a guess, I'm no expert - just doing what I'm told haha.

Maybe you need to recalculate your goals? I think MFP recommends doing that every time you lose 20lb or so.

How do you work out the BMR for the calories needed?

There's a calculator under the "Tools" tab.
