Any such thing as a safe cleanse?

I gave myself 30 days to get back on track. Since April 1st, I've been very careful about logging every bite of weighed and measured food and eating at a deficit all days but 2 I think. I've exercised at least 30 minutes every day except 2 (most days it's 60 minutes or more) and I've lost ... well nothing. I'm not giving up, I'm going to keep going, but no weight loss when I'm doing it right is really frustrating.
I'm 43 years old, female and if my very irregular TOM is any indication, pre-menopausal. And it's not an excuse, my metabolism definitely isn't what it used to be.
I would like to give myself a little jumpstart for May. Maybe a weekend cleanse, but I want to be safe about it. Is there any such thing as a safe cleanse?

You are not in a deficit if the weight is not coming off.
If it's staying the same, you're at maintenance.
Make sure you are acurate in your weighing.
Open your diary if it's not open already. People can better access what's going on.
Cleanses don't work.
Your body cleanses itself.
You can try cutting out added sugars and white flours, pastas, rices, etc but all you need is a deficit to lose.
I'm post menopause and I'm down to goal.
I workout 6 days a week for an hour and take a long walk on the 7th day.
To lose the weight, I ate 1200 plus 3/4 to all my exercise calories back depending on hunger.
Also it helps to cook at home as much as possible and bring your lunch to work.
You can do! Don't give up! The rewards are great! Great health and look good!0 -
To answer your question
No there are no safe cleanses.0 -
The safest cleanse is your daily shower.
Anything else is BS.0 -

Yes.
Eat food at a sensible deficit.
Your body continually 'cleanses' it's self regardless.
Also, as above, if your weight isn't going down over an extended period, you're not at a deficit.0 -

Please clarify what "nothing" means to you.
A lot if people say they lost "nothing" when it turns out they actually lost SOMETHING, just not the amount they had hoped for.
As far as a cleanse goes, just strat eating healthier. A "cleanse" isn't going to do anything.0 -

Safe? Sure.
Effective at cleansing anything? Not a chance in hell.0 -
The only way to have a safe cleanse is either to shower or to poop. That is all.0

I'll have to agree with them too. The only safe cleanse is just eating healthy foods, drinking lots of water and putting in a good sweat when you can. I know stalling is frustrating. I'm dealing with it too. Keep your head up. You'll get through it.0

Water and a balanced diet with increased dietary fiber is pretty much all you need in a 'cleanse'. Anything else is unhealthy.
Your body does everything you need it to do.0 -
You don't need a cleanse to do this.

safe? probably.
effective? not a chance.
don't waste your time / money on any "cleanse" products outside of maybe some soap.0 -
What do you mean by a 'cleanse'? To some, a cleanse is a juicing diet, to others it is a schedule of pills and powders. There are those who do water fasts and call that a cleanse, and to some a cleanse is simply cutting out foods that they deem to be in some way "bad" (typically dairy, caffeine, alcohol, gluten, etc.)
Your body is perfectly capable of cleansing itself, so those extreme methods aren't really doing you any favors. Furthermore, many people end up bingeing after the cleanse is over and set themselves up into a cycle of yo-yo dieting, cleansing, restricting and bingeing all over again.
I suggest you just increase your water intake and focus the majority of your calories on minimally processed foods. If you really need help, perhaps look into hiring a professional to get you on the right track.0 -
You have everything you need to cleanse in your home.
A shower and a toilet.0
