Tough Mudder Question

I am running my first Tough Mudder tomorrow morning. I feel pretty good about it, but had one specific question that I figured someone here who had done one before might be able to answer. Specifically, I’m wondering whether it is in my best interest to run with a shirt or without one. Given the water obstacles at the start of the course, I’m worried about nipple chafing (rain running has left me bleeding over shorter mileage, so it’s a concern), so I am leaning towards no shirt. However, given that I haven’t done this before, I wasn’t sure if there was something I’m not taking into account (one of the crawling obstacles, for instance) that might make the shirt a good idea anyhow. Thoughts, MFP? Also, any advice from other mudders is appreciated.

I run with a shirt, ha! But most guys don't. I'd skip it if you can.

I've done 2 and wore shirts both time.
I use BodyGlide for chaffing concerns - you can buy it at your local running / sports store and it works very well.

Good luck on your first Mudder! Have a blast and enjoy that beer at the end!!

Don't forget your sunblock! I'm in favor of the "less is more" approach, but I burn. Even with waterproof sunblock, it might not be sufficient by the end of the course. My knees and forearms definitely took more of an abrasive beating than my torso. But I did skip a bunch of stuff that I didn't feel confident about. None of the things I skipped made me think "gee, I'erm glad I have a thin layer of fabric over my flabby abs." I probably won't do Tough Mudder this year, but I'm signed up for 3 Warrior Dashes. I might run them in just the shorts and sports bra. The waterlogged t-shirt does drag you down.
