Back for my fourth try

I've logged my way to significant weight loss three times now. Twice with manual logs, once with MFP. Like every other diet aid, once you stop you gain. It seems daunting to be logging everything I eat for the rest of my life, but so be it. I'm hoping someone can begin using facial recognition type technology for foods and we can just snap a picture and it will automatically fill in what is on the plate, maybe even a before and after.
This time my doctor has added Belviq to my plan. Our hope is after I am down to the mid 170s from my present 222 (already lost 11 pounds in two weeks) on my 6'1" frame that I can just continue using MFP to control my weight. On the surface it should work. I'll be in the habit of logging, will continue to burn more than I eat, that my systems will have adjusted to a lower calorie diet. I don't see why MFP would work at 222 and not at 175, but some people here claim other wise. Only time will tell.
With apologies to Walt Whitman "The powerfull play goes on and you may contribute a verse"; I'm deciding what my verse shall be. I'm determined it will be at an appropriate weight. Currently demands of graduate school and teaching makes it difficult to get the excercise I probably need. I'm a weekend warrior, hiking and backpacking most weekends. But a couple thousand deficit on one or two days isn't enough.

I've lost 5 pounds before I started MFP but I have a Lot...let me say a LOT more to go. It's going to be tough but I'm so ready for a change! We can be each others cheerleaders!0
