so im going to start my new gym membership hopefully the end of this upcoming week(:
right now im weighing 195.3 Lbs and im 5'2. ive already changed my eating habits and im trying to lower my portions more as well. i do admit some days i dont have tim eto eat breakfast or im not hungry in the morning and i skip it which i know is bad ! and ill end up eating a bit more during lunch or dinner.. its bad i know but im really working on it ! i think i did much better today !!
Anyways, im eating healthier, eating lean protein and veggies and a bit of rice maybe, not everyday though.
ive set a goal to try and drop 10 pounds in a week and a half to 2 weeks and lose a few inches.. is this a realistic goal ?
i guess my question is what can i do at the gym to help me achieve my goal? im thinking about going in the AM for an hour and if i can go for another hour later in the day. id like something not too hard because im just starting out and dont want to over do it. also something thats easy on the lower back ( i have a pinched nerve) and on the ankles and knees cause they shake too much when working out .
please no rude comments ! i really appreciate any adivce i get ! thank you guys

The best way to lose weight in the gym is the exact same as outside the gym: a calorie deficit. Eat fewer calories than your body uses. The gym can help use more calories, but is best for acheiving specific fitness goals. Diet is responsible for most of your results.
The bit about breakfast: it doesn't matter if you don't eat it. That's not "bad." Just hit a calorie goal for the day. The truth is that meal timing and frequency do not matter given the same number of calories for the day.
A more realistic goal is a pound, maybe 2 per week lost. That would be super. It's not advised to try to lose faster than that. Use a conservative deficit, be happy, feel fed, and keep your muscles and hair.
The best advice I can give is be patient. This will take a long time and requires a lifestyle commitment, not a sprint to point B. Best of luck to you.0 -
A realistic goal is about 1-2lbs a week.
As for the gym part I suggest you look into something along the lines of Strength Training

Along with a calorie deficit
I also suggest you check this link out:

As for breakfast.. as long as you get the right amount of cals in your body doesn't care about meal timing / Frequency0
