I'm sure all answers will be the same to this but i'm not even sorry to say that eating only 800 calories a day will not help you lose weight in a sustainable or healthy way.
Y'all are gonna have to exercise and my motto is always 'eat better, not less.'0 -
Eating 800 calories a day is not going to make you feel better. Eat 1200-1500 calories a day (taking in all the food groups - think "everything in moderation", including a little bit of KFC, crisps, chocolate, or whatever else you want, within your calorie goal) and get some exercise in. That will be a great start to losing weight.
There are loads of threads on this website about whether or not starvation mode exists. General consensus seems to say that it doesn't, but that you reach a point where you just feel horrendous and you won't have enough energy to do any proper exercise that's required for developing and maintaining a healthy, fit body.0 -
Ok, there are plenty of healthy ways to lose weight that don't involve some cockamamie diet scheme where you barely eat for 6 days and then binge. That plan you've got there isn't a healthy weight loss plan, it's disordered eating.

"Eat better, not less"
Yep, that about sums it up. NOTE: The healthiest, most muscular folks on here eat fairly high calories. The people who struggle tend to eat under, binge over and are all over the darn place! Treat your body well and it will treat you well!0 -

I'm 41 and I lose weight eating an average of 2300-2400 calories per day.0 -

^This. You're going to feel miserable every single day if you keep doing what you're doing.0 -
That plan is a fail from the start. How on earth is that a lifestyle change? Most diets fail for a reason...because people go on them, go to stupid extremes then gain all the weight back because what they did was temporary and not sustainable. You need to change your overall lifestyle, not starve for 6 days just so you can have something you enjoy the 7th. Work hard, then you can play hard. Set yourself up with a sensible deficit, focus on balancing out healthy foods with smaller amounts of less healthy foods and find a form of activity you enjoy to get things burning nicely. I eat over 2000 calories daily, and I lose weight eating over 2000 calories daily as do quite a few of my mfp friends.0
