BMI is a useless stat.
Check a mirror while losing. Stop when you're happy. Or if you need a number, measure fat percentage.0 -
You're smack dab in the middle of healthy.... which is a pretty good place to be.0 -
BMI is not useless. Antiquated, yes, but physicians still use it. Body Mass Index. Problem is, it does not take muscle mass versus body fat into account. It merely, as Minkyou was kind enough to provide a matrix, shows a scale in accordance to height and weight. It's a simple premise showing you approximately where you stand mass-wise. If your body fat percentage is more important to you, then you should consider having that determined.0

BMI is just a gage, and doesn't factor it muscle at all. My husband is considered "obese" and he has 11% body fat. He in not remotely close to being even overweight, let alone obese. If you have a muscular build, then do not go by BMI. If you have an average frame, then you can use it as a guide. I would say at 5'10" 151 pounds is great, especially if you have 26" waist. I am the same height and my goal weight is 150. I would kill for a 26" waist!!0
