At 142.5 pounds you don't have a huge amount of weight to lose. In order to truly have a 1000 per day calorie deficit (required for 2 pounds per week) AND eat the minimum amount for nutritional purposes, you'd need to be VERY active. The smaller you are, the less your body burns during normal daily activities.
MFP has a safety catch built in, in that it won't recommend you eat below a certain point. That point is 1200 calories. MFP takes your height, weight, etc. and activity level and estimates your total daily burn. It then subtracts your goal deficit (1000 calories for 2 pounds, 500 calories for 1 pound) and gives you a result. But if the result is too low, it just gives you 1200.
Change your goal to be .5 or 1 pound per week. Take steps to increase your activity and that will help as well.0 -

You're 142.5 and want to lose 35 pounds. I can tell you it will take longer than 18 weeks if you want to do it the right way. Taking into account usual periods of no weight loss and often a few periods of minor gain, I expect it would roughly take you about 10-12 months. Don't be discouraged, but you're small and it really isn't fair to push your body to average a 2 lb loss over an 17.5 week period. Aim more for .5-1 pound a week. Do some weight training and you might find that you'll be happy at 115-120 instead of 110. I really do suggest that you reevaluate your goals, but I won't tell you what weight you should weight. Just make sure you don't push yourself beyond what is healthy.0
