So... On my fitness journey, I was never athletic always naturally thin and tiny and could eat whatever I want. Then I turn 19 and all of a sudden "oh crap I'm a real person and if I eat pizza everyday I will get fat". So I'd say for the past year I've really been getting into the gym and learning all I can learn and for the past like three to five months been really hitting it hard and seeing results BUT battling the junk. I'll give it up for a few days then see a little bit of progress then I'll eat crap again and loose it. I know there's no quick fix. But does anyone have any pointers on just saying NO to pizza, cake, french fries, chocolate mmm mmm mmm mm mmmmm lol.
Side note... I'm 5'2" 115 lbs and I now am proud to have a bit of muscle. So being relativley in shape but not where I want to be makes it so hard to explain to my friends that I have goals and I can't go out and drink or I won't eat certain things because they're plain NOT GOOD FOR ME! and all I get in response is "oh shut up you're tiny". Someone help.

Then don't give it up... Simple.
Eat less of it. Smaller sizes. Snack/fun size of anything.
If you want pizza, buy the SMALLEST with thin crust. Find ways to get the smallest possible of what you're craving.
You don't need deny yourself what you love, you're only setting yourself up for failure if you do.
Best of luck! :flowerforyou:0 -
So don't.
Make it fit your goals and move on and be happy.0 -

Also, there is NO WAY in hell that in just a few days you can start seeing results, and after one junk binge lose it all. Impossible.
Real results are a product of months and months of CONSISTENT hard work. Chances are what you saw were glycogen depletions or water weight loss.0 -
I HAVE been consistently working my *kitten* off. When I say a few days I mean a week of clean eating and I notice my obliques come through just a tiny bit so little that not even my boyfriend wouldn't even notice just me and then I'm proud. And then I eat crap and it goes away. I don't appreciate your tone.0

I think you guys are missing my point... I want to be more consistent. I want to have multiple weeks of a clean diet instead of one week then crap every other day. i want to stay consistent with a cheat meal once a week rather than three or four times a week. I was just asking for tips not for rudeness...0

I have not given up fast food, junk food, chocolate.....etc
I work what I want into my daily diary, eat it in moderation, and log food around the junk food etc. Depriving myself never worked in the past, so found a way to have my cake & eat it too. :bigsmile:0 -
Stay away from it and keep IT out of the house!0

I think you are missing theirs...they are telling you to work it in. Allow yourself some snack sized pieces of candy or something. If you allow yourself to enjoy things you love then you will be less tempted at getting a bunch of it in one sitting.
And honestly...their tones aren't being rude. You wanted suggestions, and because people are being blunt you are getting your panties in a twist. If you don't want honest opinions then don't ask...imo.0 -

I am recently a huge fan of protein bars especially as a substitute for chocolate, which is one of my downfalls.0

Personally at the moment, I am trying to eat cleanish 5 days a week and give myself 2-3 occasions (depending on obviously how unhealthy/a setback it may be) where I can treat myself.
Having a social life and trying lose weight can be a bit tricky especially if your friends are not on the same journey. If you are going out, just try to make the best healthiest choice you can make.
You also have to ask yourself: What do I want more? To lose 1lb this week or to have this slice of pizza?
All things in moderation0
