Running programs for Ipod Nano??? C25K...any others?

I am one of those people who is resisting getting a "smart phone". 
I have a computer and a tablet so don't see the need to replicate those services on a phone. However, I am interested in using some of the running programs that are designed for beginners. So many of them are "apps" that seem to require a smart phone type of device.
I have downloaded C25K (NHI version) onto my Ipod Nano. I'm wondering if there are other such programs that anyone has used/enjoyed that would be downloadable to my device.
Also...I'm just getting started and would love a "buddy/buddies" so if anyone is interested in sharing the experience please send me a friend request!
