What are some good ideas for prepping food for a week? Something that will still be good for 3 days and taste good.

I like to get a big old veggie/bean-filled soup or stew going in the crock pot on Sunday. I also prepare a giant container of salad with spinach, lettuce and whatever vegetables I have in the fridge, then it becomes the base of many lunches.0

Chili. I lost a good bit of weight by eating chili. Prepared correctly, it's a nearly perfect food. Lots of protein and fiber, and it can be filled with starchless veggies, and you can make it a completely different way every time.
You can experiment with different meats (ground turkey breast, chopped chicken, pulled pork, stew beef) and different beans (try making the mixture aesthetically pleasing...add some white or black beans) and different flavor profiles (peppers and chilis range from sweet to hot and taste very different roasted or smoked...throw in some herbs and there's lots of room to play with flavor). Add things like diced carrot or sweet potato, some crunchy turnip, even some green beans to get different textures and add a shot of veg.0 -
There are a lot of dishes you can premake and freeze for over a week (sometimes months).
I just made a big pot of homemade baked beans yesterday that I froze in individuals size containers. I also made a big vat of chili and did the same. It's really nice to be able to keep food for a long time in case you don't have guaranteed time every week to prep.
Curious to see what others have to say about this.0 -

This girl breaks down everything that she makes and buys for the week and it looks amazing! I'm going to give it a try today for myself and my husband.0 -
I m currently making Chicken Tikka Marsla in the crock pot. This will be lunch for the week with brown rice and steamed broccoli.
I also make homemade pork fried rice and curry dishes that last several days. My go to soup is turkey meatball w Kale and barley.
I also make cubed chicken with a homemade orange juice and apple cider vinegar marinade and have this with steamed broccoli or mixed veggies with either brown rice or sweet mashed potatoes.
Oh and Pork meatballs with spaghetti squash and homemade marinara sauce. Or pork meatloaf....
I cook every Sunday and make lunches that last the week and a dinner we can eat for at least three nights.0 -
I have pulled pork and potatoes and carrots in my crock pot right now. That should last a few days.0

I just made chicken tikka masala tonight and packed up four portions for the week with veggies and rice. Salads are actually pretty good too. I store my greens in large mason jars because it seems too stay fresher that way, then i just pack whatever toppings I need and make it when I'm ready to eat. Last week was taco salad. Week before that was enchiladas verdes, and week before that was chicken Caesar salad.0

I make a lot of different things in my slow cooker & then box in individual portions, any chilli/stew/casserole type dishes keep easily for a few days. To be honest anything I cook in a large portion I will store leftovers and happily eat for up to 3-4days unless its seafood.
Another easy way I pre prepare meals is to prep all the veg for my salads for the next few days and box individual portions of the salad base & then I will roast a few chicken breasts and slice/store in the fridge. On a daily basis I can grab a salad box, weigh out and add my chicken and any other extras like nuts/seeds & then just add the dressing I fancy before I eat it.0
