Hi all,
Quick question:
Is it more important to not go over calories or not to go over your macros, for fat loss and health reasons.
The reason why I ask is that I have 200 calories spare today, which I want to eat but it means going over my fat and carbs more, which porobaly isn't great. I'd happy snack on protein food but I don't eat meat, and I really don't want any houmous right now. Haha.

restricting cals for fat loss, proper macro balance for health.
But those macro goals are a guide, not some magic definitive number. One day over won't hinder progress or kill you0 -

I don't look at macros at all at this stage. I only care about calories. When I'm no longer obese, then I may set limits on fat for myself for health reasons. But I already eat a diverse diet, so I'm not too worried about macros in general.0

I am Whey intolerant and found vegan protein powder to be helpful in hitting my macros this week. The vegan protein is mostly protein, no carbs and no fat. very effective in keeping fat down but adding cards (with fruit/protein smoothies). It may help to add a bit to your diet and it tastes great with frozen strawberries!0

Calories. The more you learn the more you will make those decisions with confidence.0

I've been thinking about protein powders for a while now, it's just the initial payment freaks me out a bit. Do you cut out meals and have them or just have them when of need of a boost? And are you able to you recommend any good brands?0 -

Makes sense to me. As i'm at a average/healthy weight for my height I worry about going over fats and under eating proteins, as well as calories. By worry, I mean be more aware of0
