Hotter Preggers

Oh jeeze...I should be working out right now instead of writing this...I was looking back at pics I took while pregnant and I looked SOOOOOOO much better than now. It's only been two months, but I am having trouble making peace with this body. I could even rock a sports bra and yoga shorts preggers and like the way I look, yet now I am struggling to look good in anything :(

Anyone relate? Not just pregnant but also different stages of life?

Off to try to get some sort of cardio in before bambino wakes up!

  • I do! When I was pregnant I though wow I am just getting bigger in my stomach and no where else. BOY was I wrong. I don't know what happens after giving birth but all of a sudden your entire body get huge!. But seriously hang in there you can do this. I never thought I would lose the weight but I did. It just takes time.

Exactly the same here. I looked good and everyone commented on how I just had a really neat bump and didn't seem to have put on weight elsewhere. Now, 15 weeks on(!), I still can't fit into any pre-pregnancy clothes and still have loads of weight to lose :(. It's so hard not to get down about it... I just feel terrible when I think too much or spend too long looking in a full length mirror. BUT, as annoying and cliched as it may sound, people are right when they say it took nine months to put the weight on so expecting it all to disappear in just a few weeks is crazy. Little at a time and I'm sure we'll all get there. I've got my gym induction tomorrow and I'm totally back on the dieting wagon as of today, after a pretty terrible weekend (oops!)

Thank you all for sharing your experiences! I think I also have to work it a littler harder too. It is so hard to be patience, because it is like all of a sudden you have this completely different body after slowly getting use to changes for nine months.

I found that is what is so different about me this time.... the patience. (I have had 3 kids) I have somehow come to accept that this might take some time even though I don't have tons to lose. I always just expected it to come off quick. I would do great for 6 weeks and be frustrated to not be at my goal and give up. This time I have been at it for.... I think 13 or 14 weeks straight and still have roughly 20 more to lose. I am now ok with that....as long as I get there. lol:laugh:

    (Edited for spelling. lol)

I loved how I felt when I was preggers. In fact, my "relationship" with my husband was off the charts during that time. But afterwards.... Not so much. I ended up needing to lose 30 lbs after delivery, and things still don't look the way they used to. *sigh*

My plan is to work out like a rock star and then save up my cash for a breast lift and a tummy tuck (diastasis anyone?) after I have one more little one. ;-)
