Weight Machines at LA Fitness

My boyfriend is a member there and had a personal trainer, he had to quit because he couldn't afford it anymore but he still has the gym membership. I'm going to be joining soon and I've always been 100% cardio and never did any strength training. I don't have a clue how to use these machines at all. I absolutely refuse to get a personal trainer and I couldn't afford one if I wanted to. Do you think they will have an issue with him showing me how to use them? I've read some complaints about them not allowing friends to train but I'm talking about having him show me for a minute how to use the machine not how much weight or how many reps etc.

I go to LA Fitness and I got a free session when I joined. Not like the guy actually helped me- I told him I just wanted some help checking my form on a few lifts and instead of lifting weight we do bodyweight crap. Anyway, I see people helping each other there all the time, and they're always announcing that if you have questions then you should ask. Good luck! I don't see you having any problems though.
PS Weight lifting is awesome and lifting free weights is even better!0
