Planks hurt my wrists

It seems my wrists are not very flexible at all and my hands don't like being at 90 degrees to my arms. Doing level two of ripped in 30, it's all plank moves all the time, I'm only 2 days in and my wrists are already sore. What to do?

You could do wrist stretches, like people do to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome. You could strengthen your wrists with weight lifting. Deadlifts, overhead press, and bent rows seemed to help me with wrist strength. Even just holding weights while doing step ups at the end of my weight lifting has contributed as well.

You can try doing planks with some dumbbells if you have them around like this. Would take a lot of the pressure of your wrist.

Yup I agree, forearms and elbows would probably be easier

Ooooooh, thank you! I have just the opposite trouble from OP, and I needed this idea to help keep mine straight without having to balance on my gloves. Perfect!

I have the same issue. Def use the dumbells or do elbow planks.
