Struggling to find my mojo...my reason...

hi all
I've been on the weightloss roller coaster most of my life and it's tiring to have to pay so much attention to diet and exercise In order to make sure I try to keep my weight at a reasonable level (I'm not at my heaviest, I lost 10kg about 18 months ago).
I need to lose another 10kg to get into a healthy weight range but I am really struggling to find my motivation and drive to do it. I have to have elective surgery in a few months and would love to have achieved my goal by then as there will be a recovery period where I won't be able to do any exercise.
I have gained a few kilos over the past 6 months, mostly due to emotional eating from personal issues (major family dramas). I have been doing 2-3 gym classes a week though but I can't seem to get my eating under control. I have started using some motivational audio which I have found helpful in dealing with cravings and portion control in the past, but I'm lacking that "get off your butt and do it" moment.
So please help me by telling me what do use for motivation? How do you deal with low days where you feel like you don't have the energy to stick with it.
Thanks in advance.
