egg cholesterol

Hey guys,
I just want to know if the cholesterol in egg is a myth. A lot of people say it doesn't clog the arteries and it's perfectly fine. Is it okay for me to eat like 5+ egg daily (everyday) for the protein? I don't want to die young by the cholesterol in egg. Thanks before

Yeah don't do that. If you are eating 5 a day that is 300% of your daily value in cholesterol plus whatever else you eat during the day. It's just too much cholesterol for one meal. I also use eggs for protein. Instead get egg whites. They come in a carton and have zero cholesterol but all the protein. It's 5g per tbsp. You lose the nutrients that are in the normal eggs but that's okay.0

good or bad - no idea - i've read both and i'm not an expert but 5 a day seems like rather a lot
everything in moderation
try to mix up your protein sources: soya, beans, lean meats, fish, dairy, .....
you food will be more interesting and you are more likely to stick with it in the long run0 -
The 80s are over...this was debunked decades ago...yet still persists.0

Gosh I hope so, just polished off a 4 egg Omelet for lunch today with sharp cheddar cheese... There is absolutely nothing wrong with eating eggs... I have been eating them almost daily, have lost a few pounds, and my 6 months lipid panels are perfect....0

Current research suggests that eating the whole egg is better for you and that dietary cholesterol has little effect on blood cholesterol. However 5 a day is likely too many. My eggs don't come in a carton, they come from my chickens. My numbers are just fine and I eat two nearly every day.0

A huge egg omelet every now and then is perfectly fine. But he's talking about eating 5+ everyday.0

ALL OF THIS ^^
It is true that you are eating over the medical recommendation for daily cholesterol intake. It is true that the 80's recommendation for avoiding egg yolks has been tempered based on further research. It is true that dietary cholesterol doesn't have much affect on blood cholesterol for most people (for some people it has a significant impact).
Eating 5 a day may or may not affect your blood cholesterol levels, which may or may not clog your arteries. Your genetic makeup, your activity level and your diet as a whole must all be considered.
My advice, FWIW, would be to get regular blood screens from your doctor to check your lipid levels.0 -
For the vast majority of people consuming eggs will actually stimulate less atherogenic plaques.0
