I have been a member of mfp since last year but only actually started my weightloss in january, in 16 weeks i have lost 51lbs, does this sound ok? Also i have set mfp to 2lbs per week loss when should i lower this.
Sw- 256lbs
Cw- 205lbs
My motivation was to get down to 200lb before my 30th birthday which is the end of july but now im thinking i can lower that a bit.
I think i will be happy with my weight around the 180 mark when my bmi is overweight. Which i know is still high but i know i wont look right much thinner.

Well kind of late to be asking...but if you don't mind that the weight you lost was fat and muscle I am sure you will be fine.
Suggestion is tho that with less than 75lbs to lose 1lb a week is sufficent and sustainable. At less than 25lbs it should be set to 1/2lb a week.0 -
How is it too late to be asking? According to my stats i probably have another 75lb to lose.0

Because you have already lost at that rate...and after it's done it is too late to ask if it was too fast...because it's already gone.
It averages to 3.25lbs a week and as I said if you don't mind that it was probably fat and muscle then it's not really for us to say how fast you lose your weight.
I personally think it was too fast considering you said your goal weight was 180...so that is a total of 70lbs to lose and the best rate for that amount is 1.5lbs a week because it means you are not cutting too low and you can sustain it.0
