I've heard a lot of good reviews and stories about walking for loosing weight. I live in the countryside so its perfect for me to be able to go out for a walk, and i love doing it! I was just wandering whether anyone uses walking as their cardio/exercise and has it worked for you? If so how often and how long do you walk for?

I have been walking every night or every other night for about a month now and I have lost all my weight from it. I've lost 8 pounds so far. I am trying to incorporate a decent diet to help but so far I've noticed quite the difference in my body. I try to aim to walk 2 miles or at least 30-45 minutes.

Walking is all I have been able to do since mid December and have lost almost 38 lbs so far.

80% weight loss is nutrition and calorie intake. Walking will no doubt help, but diet is first and foremost.

walking is the gateway to a running addiction. it's how I started now I'm a runner and love every single second of it.

btw, even though I run 6.2 miles a day, I still walk 4 miles a day m-fri. so I'll never stop walking. it helps keep my muscles loose and joints limber. i don't like walking as much as I love running but it's done in addition to my run and not a substitute for it.
