Not having breakfast

I'm usually more productive at night so I tend to do things I have to do in the evening and end up sleeping at 1 or 2 am. I try to get as much sleep as I can so I don't have an alarm in the morning. when I do stay up late, I wake up around lunch time so I don't get to eat breakfast and sometimes, when I am already active enough I eat a granola bar and work out right after waking up. does this have a negative effect since I am not eating the most important meal of the day?

    Meal timing is personal preference.

No. As long as you are getting proper nutrition and staying within your goals it doesn't matter what time you eat.

Timing really isn't the most important thing, but even if it were you are still eating soon after waking... I wouldn't worry about it as long as you are still getting the nutrients you need throughout the day. Do you still get 3 or more meals in, just later?

Do what works for you. I take a 630 am class and am out of the house by 6. If I'm really hungry I make a protein shake but otherwise I keep a banana and even a cheese stick in a bag, just in case. I work out better if I'm not hungry but I'm not Always hungry then.
