Anyone else notice ankle pain when they first started working out? It's weird because it's never an area I've had trouble with before, unlike my shins, knees, and lower back. I'm using Just dance and Zumba for Xbox one to work out. I have a really hard time getting motivated and this seems to help =)

Yep and I do zumba and dance at home as well.

I did very very badly sprain my ankle 16 years ago and got no medical attention (crazy ex wouldn't let me). Went to my doctor recently who has referred me to physio to strengthen it and also said I over pronate with flat feet and that won't be helping so I've been referred to biomechanics to have insoles made.

Might not be the same for you but it may be worth looking into! I have found the more I was doing zumba the more it's been hurting. I need to find some less load bearing cardio for now as my physio isn't for another 6 weeks or so.

Do you get sharp pains when foot is restedo r while you're sleeping. i found out the hard way, i worked out too hadrto o longi n thewr ong kind of shoes. i now have tendinitis, i recommend a good pair of shoes. I thought i was doing good buying the nike flexible ones with all the slits on the bottom - WRONG. Even a good brand doesnt' mean good for you. I went to podiatrist and had to pay dearly for in soles (There is chealper ways of getting them, like athletic stores) but well worth it. MY foot still hurts but it's tolerble. Once you start working out the addrenilin kicks and mine doesn't hurt that much then. best of luck. Norma
