Seems like A Lot of Cals

Back on this site after losing and maintaining a 20 pound loss for the past 7 months or so. Decided to lose another 10 pounds to get under 200 and MFP put me at a 2200 cal goal for a 1 pound per week weight loss. I feel like this is a lot of cals to get close to so my question is should I hit the 2200 or lower it some?

Double check your inputs but that might be right. I'm in my mid twenties, on the upper end of overweight, and short... and if I put in a pound a week at sedentary it would tell me to eat just shy of 1500.0

You're a 20 year old guy....I'm a 46 year old chick and I lose on 1800-2000 cals a day, so I think the 2200 sounds reasonable for you. Stick with it for a month and see how it goes, and then make adjustments if needed.0

The simple answer, like everything for biology, is that it depends. It depends on your metabolism. Some guys lose at 1800 cal/day. Some guys lose at 3000 cal/day. Give 2200 cal/day a try for a week. If you don't lose, reduce it a bit and try again. It will be important to log everything you eat and hit your nutritional goals, while getting in all of your exercises.
