Ideas when starting out

I'm not starting out..I guess I'm continuing and carrying on from where I left off over a year ago.

Something I have found interesting. If you want pizza, make your own. You can measure everything. You know what's in it. You can add healthier toppings and it's much cheaper...even tastes better.

I made my first tropical style salad today....it's great....got all my fruit and veggie servings in today because of it....

  • Home cooked food from scratch is so much better - not only can I track all the ingredients, but it teaches me and my family (who often watch me cook) the very essence of healthy eating.
    I do use ready meals at times - I'm a nurse and work shifts so it's convenient - but when I have time I cook a big batch of meals, divide them up and freeze them. Not only does it work out healthier, but oh, so cheap too!
