Women Undergarments (tmi)

I am been successful with working out but I have one problem..... cotton panties that always give me a wedgie! Can anyone recommend a brand or woman's underwear specifically made for active people that are not cotton and have dry technology. I know Under Armour has them but I don't want to pay 20 bucks for a thong if I don't have to.

Hmmmmm.....
Microfiber? I find it fits better than cotton- and lets you "breathe" better than nylon.... It comes in various styles of panties from thongs to those lovely "granny pantaloons"
But seriously. I find the material doesn't ride, bunch, creep, crawl, or otherwise annoy me- it's like a second skin
Good luck!:happy:1 -
Well Ive been a G-string (thong) girl since i was like 15 BUT I wear boy legs while exercising, cause they dont seem to Wedgie as easily. Weird I know.0

I'll second Darkraiven's response. I first purchased microfiber panties for travel (you can use your hotel bathroom to wash them and they dry quickly). Anyway, after having them for travel, I now wear them on a regular basis, including working out. They breathe and give a smooth look. I wear plus size (hopefully not for long now that I've found MFP!), so not only do they come in various styles, as she noted, they come in various sizes.
Hope this helps.1 -

Costco sells a package of Puma underwear that are specifically made for working out. They work great for my middle of the road sized butt.1

The Puma ones I mentioned are quite similar to these Target brand underwear.

I haven't tried any of these. And they might be expensive. But there are Thinx panties and Knix wear and Dear Kate. I looked into these for dancing. But, I haven't gotten around to trying them. I might try Dear Kate. Right now I just have cotton ones I like from La Vie En Rose for daily wear. And seamless thongs also from La Vie En Rose. I generally like their panties, garters/stockings, and other lingerie and pajamas. I am in Canada. Edit: Lol, I missed that this was a bump (and people tend to get upset about that). Well, the info is here for anyone else.1

Warner's No Pinching No Problems Modern Brief Panty is all I've worn for several years now. They were great when I was fat and even better now that I'm not. They make them in other styles...but I've always been a "granny panty" girl.
I buy mine on Amazon but I think Kohl's carries a fair amount of Warner's.0 -
Thinx are awesome. I forget I'm in menses half the time, they're so good.0

cotton thong?0 -
Jockey has a new style out that is for working out. I just bought 2 pair and they aren't riding up. I don't have a link to them but they seem to be easy enough to find.
I also like the boy short cut, but haven't found a good pair of those lately.0 -
Commando. If you wear the spandex type pants, most of them have a gusset sewn in the crotch so you don't have to wear underwear if you don't want to. I have tried SO many different pairs and the few that were wedgie proof created really, really horrible lines and muffin butt. I couldn't deal. I have a large behind so this problem might just be amplified for me!0

OP, it's been 6.5 years. Have you found anything that works yet?2

I use victorias secret pants/thongs for pole, their "shorts" over the top. You get seamless ones that are almost made of a swim suit material and they react with sweat very well, very comfortable from no waist bands and not too bad on the wedgie front!!0

Sams Club sells microfiber boy shorts by Ellen Tracy. They're super comfy and don't ride up. I think it's $15/4 pair.0

Sloggi microfiber boyshorts. I get a wedgie really easily, but these are long enough in the leg that I'm okay.
I've read that thongs are not good for your bits when exercising, as the thong kind of wicks unpleasant things into places you don't want them......0
