Shorts riding up. Need advice

So I am a big guy with a lot to lose. I started working out again this week, mainly doing cardio for now. I bought new shorts and specifically made sure they were long (come down a few inches past my knees).

When I am on the elliptical, treadmill, or bike the shorts keep riding up between my legs. It is very embarrassing, and I have to keep slowing down my cardio every couple minutes to pull them down.

Are there any tips or tricks to help keep this from happening? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Maybe for now invest in some exercise pants instead for the days you do cardio.

welcome to the bain of every woman who has solid thighs- I live my life avoiding most shorts because my *kitten* eats them. it's like they want to live inside me. It's horrid.

Two options (well three but I'm pretty sure # 3 you won't take at all since almost no one does)
    1.) Pants- o

2.) Put on compression shorts underneath- that's what I did in school- the slick fabric helps the over shorts from riding up to much- they ride up and fall down/or cover you so you feel less conscious. (this is a common problem- lots of people double up on shorts)

3.) go shorter or tighter- short shorts don't ride up because they are already up- fitted shorts don't ride up because well- they are pretty much fitted.

What I do to combat this is wear compression shorts underneath. It doesn't totally fix it but it helps. If you want a complete fix, you'll have to wear sweatpants. I have compression pants that I wear underneath sweatpants and it's very comfortable.
