This is just for fun! I'm not asking strangers what I should name an actual baby. I would appreciate genuine answers instead of a game of "let's pick the most ridiculous baby name," though.

GIRLS
Hartlee Jayde
Ashtyn Claire
Mackenzie Jayde
Mackenzie Sophia
Sadie Claire
Reagan Joy
Bailey Ashtyn
Ashtyn Bailey
Aubrey Sophia
Hailey Sophia
Hailey Jayde

BOYS
Jacob Noah
Mason Parker
Grayson Connor
Ryan Parker

What do you think of these? Which are your favorite and least favorite? Would you switch any of them up?

BONUS QUESTION: What are your favorite name combinations?

I have a bit of an obsession with names. And while I am never having kids, I have actually lurked/posted on baby name boards for ages. I used some for characters in writing stories but also just enjoy names and have super strong visual imagery on most names.

I have to admit (kind of a disclaimer) that my tastes run pretty different from yours.

The names I love most (Seth, Jill, Inger, Micah, Claudia, Berit, Julian, Gwendolyn, Todd, Meredith) are probably SUPER boring and/or weird to you when compared to some of the names you have chosen. So please take my opinions with a grain of salt!!! We all have our own likes and dislikes.

    GIRLS
Hartlee Jayde - porn star. Awful. No offense please.
Ashtyn Claire - to me Ashtyn is kind of boring and 90s but I like Claire a lot
Mackenzie Jayde - not bad, but it kinds of screams "I have a teen mom"
Mackenzie Sophia - not crazy about the combination but I think Sophia helps it soooo much (over Jayde above)
Sadie Claire - I like this.
Reagan Joy - to me Reagan always brings to mind someone born in the early 90s, so that could be a good thing actually...and with Joy it seems more classic and fresh
Bailey Ashtyn - boring but fine. Not crazy about Ashtyn spelling.
Ashtyn Bailey - I think Bailey Ashtyn is better.
Aubrey Sophia - this is the sort of name most of my friends (Midwestern women in their mid 30s) are choosing currently. I don't love it, but it's fine.
Hailey Sophia - I like both names but I am not quite so crazy about the combination.
Hailey Jayde - eh, definitely not into the "Jayde" part. Hailey's fine though.

    BOYS
Jacob Noah - I feel like these are 2 fantastic names that don't really "go together" all that well. I especially like Noah.
Mason Parker - a little on the vanilla side, but definitely not bad at all. For me there's a little negative association because both are the names of funeral homes in my city.
Grayson Connor - I like the spelling Greyson more for some reason, but this is my favorite of your boy names.
Ryan Parker - I like this combination, although it happens to be the first & last name combo of a friend of mine who passed away a few years ago...weird.

I think I share your taste in boy names WAY more than girls' names.

I have never really given first and middle name combinations much thought, possibly because it doesn't tend to be as important when writing about a character and because I never wanted to have kids. Although, when I was very young (teens) and not sure if I'd ever want kids, I assumed I would use my maiden name as the middle name for my potential child, male or female. I don't want to share that actual name here obviously but it's kind of a generic sounding nice name, think Bentley, Reilly, Spencer type of name...like a street name ;-)

I dont like Mackenzie for a girl... I think its a great boys name though (personal opinion and all lol)
If my hubs had agreed I really liked Sophia Claire for a girl (and ended up with an Abigail Claire instead) Or Isabelle Rose
And for a boy Samuel Levi or Scott Alexander (managed to get Levi as a 2nd name for one of my boys)

And have to agree on the porn star thing for Hartlee Jade lol

My Sister used her maiden name as the middle name of her kid... She really wanted Danger though lol

I went to high school with a guy named Samuel Levi. Levi was his last name, though, not his middle name.

Anything spelled Jayde is stupid. That eliminates about half of them.

Also, every Lisa I've ever met has been either evil or lazy.

    Sadie Claire is good though.

    Lisa?

Cool! I went to school with guys who had the middle names of Danger, Thunder (2), and Canada.

I love Greyson (the only way to spell it).

IMO, cutesy spelling of names, like Jayde or Ashtyn, get old real quick.

Personally I like John Connor or Alice.

I think a lot of the combos are cute. All throughout high school, I said I would name my little girl Reagan McKenzie. My first 3 pregnancies were boys. Naming boys isn't nearly as much fun as finding names for girls. I finally got my girl, though, and by then, I was over the name. Lol!

I named my cats Captain Danger and Xzeni. This makes be believe that Danger is quality name that any child would be lucky to have.

Ilaria is my favorite name for a girl. She was the beautiful young wife of a nobleman in Lucca, an Italian city north of Pisa. She died young and her husband was so devestated that he had a perfect marble likeness of her made for her tomb. It is in white Carra marble and has IIaria stretched out as if sleeping. Her lips have been almost worn away from being kissed through the centuries.

Don't laugh, but I new a guy that had 'Senator' legally in his name, his parents did that.
He's around 50 now, has never run for political office, but he has told us on numerous
occasions he has NO problems getting dinner reservations, hotel reservations, concert
    reservations, etc.

John Connor? You have to earn that name:

I don't like any of the girls first names! Only name I do like is Claire.
And for the boys, Noah, Greyson and Conner are my favs.

I like traditional names, ones that age well.

As pretty as some of these names are, I prefer simpler names. I plan on naming my first girl Iris. :)

Now that we've got our first out of the way, I'm trying to convince my wife to name the rest of our kids after The Walking Dead characters, in the order of how they appeared on the show. So far there has been resistance.

Imagine your child as an adult with a career. Most of the names are really cutesy but would be ridiculous for an adult. They aren't babies forever.
