Nap diet?

I eat a pretty steady diet... eating about every three hours, high protein, and also regular exercise. i'm right on schedule with eating times/amounts today but for some reason am feeling like "boredom eating"... since I have no plans today i'm planning on napping to avoid eating just because i'm bored. plan to go on my daily walk this evening.

anyway, does anyone find that taking a nap helps you avoid excess calories or do you find something more productive to do?

Getting enough sleep at night helps and if I can't do that and can get a nap, that helps, too. I don't know why this carcass of mine is so dumb it confuses sleepiness with hunger, but it does!

I don't think that attempting to sleep anytime you encounter difficulty in your life is really a sustainable or healthy solution long term. Perhaps find a hobby to fill your time when you are bored.

Just took a nap to avoid standing in the kitchen stuffing my face. Same here had tiredness/hunger confusion. Cup of tea and a couple of nuts post nap and I feel fine now. I think it's a great excuse for a nap lol

There are a few reasons why naps can help with weight loss. If it works for you, it's a good idea.

Makes sense to me since sleep deprivation has been shown to stimulate the appetite (and give stress hormones a boost).

Way better to take a nap and give your body an extra boost of healing/down time then running out for a Venti Cookies & Cream Frapuccino.
