Hi Ashley. Unfortunately all those things you listed really don't have much of anything to do with weight loss.
Weight loss occurs when you eat less calorically than your body requires to maintain its weight. It doesn't matter what you eat really so eliminating sweets or soda isn't really necessary (although of course it can help drop your calories) nor is going to the gym (although that can help with your fitness).
All that matters is you eat under your maintenance level. To know if you are doing this you have to just know two things.
1). How many calories are you eating in a day?
2) How many calories do you need to maintain your current weight?
Once you know those two numbers you will know what you need to do.0 -
