The Yo-Yo Struggle

Well, after losing close to 60 pounds about two years ago, I managed to gain it all back, plus an additional 40. I was so embarrassed and was stuck in a rut for a long time. All those clothes I bought no longer fit, I did not want to hang out, nor have my picture taken. I knew I was not happy with my size, but I just could not get motivated to do anything about it... again... until now! So, I'm back! Going for the transformation again. Not just to lose the weight, but keep it off. A lifestyle change is what I am after and my goal is to lose 100 pounds by the time I turn 35 (I am 32 now, 33 in June)!

I know just what you mean... In summer 2010, I got down to my goal weight and was really happy - then over the last 3 years, I've reversed all that good work and gained over 50 pounds. I don't even really know how it happened - I just took my eye off the ball! Am currently trying to lose it again (have been back on the case for 6 weeks now) and although it's coming off, it's SLOW.... Still - having to do it a second time round is so hard and annoying, that I am really motivated to KEEP it off this time and I'm sure you will be too. Good luck - lots of people yo-yo (me included), you're definitely not alone!

Keep in mind, it didn't go on over night, even though it seems that way; and it isn't going to come off over night either. I am the same way....I lose and then I gain. I have the mentality that I lost it so now I can eat whatever I want. Realistically, I am not the type of person who can eat what she wants.....I have to be careful AND I have to exercise. YOU CAN DO THIS!
