I just read this great article in the New Yorker. Link below. Basically we eat more out of habit influenced, heavily by culture, more than by necessity or physiological need. Other great bits in here too including helpful tips. Read on.

This is brilliant! Thanks for sharing!
My resolution for next month is to start paying attention to WHY I'm eating each time and really get down to the roots of why I keep stuffing myself. I know for a fact it's not hunger and I know I eat too much and want to lose weight. I can't understand why I eat so often.
Food notes in the diary from tomorrow- have tailed off my snacks at work in the last week.
