Wow. I think I'm obsessed with this site already. I work in a more physically demanding job and have succesfully cut out my coffee intake to a single Starbucks run at lunch, however, I've been drinking Celestial's Apple Spice Herbal Tea made with just tap water and the tea bags and on more stressful days can consume 4 or 5 cups a day. Will this do anything to my health or metabalism? Also, I've heard that with some teas you can add the oz of tea consumed to your water intake calculator...Any thoughts?

As long as it is plain black/green tea, i think it would be okay to add to your water intake! welcome abroad:smile:
  • I have no idea but thought id reply anyway  It sounds nice...

Im as obsessed with this site as much as facebook... infact I hardly ever go on facebook now
  • I love this site too!!! I'm on it like, 20 times a day....OCD hahah. Anyway, herbal tea is great, no caffeine, and yes you can count it as water intake for sure. I would also drink plain water as much as possible as well... something about it is irreplaceable!
  • From my understanding most of the metabolism "boost" from tea is from caffeine but who cares. It's tasty right and if you're drinking it without sweeteners or creamers then go nuts. Plus there those flavonoid things they are always finding in tea that are suppose to be good for your heart. I'm more a water drinker these days but I've just been in the habit of just drinking water.

I have done the same thing, gave up most of my coffee and drink tea.

One of my favorites is Madagascar Vanilla Red Tea... it is a rooibos tea which is supposed to help with weight loss... I doubt that is true but it does taste really good.
