Just stopping in to say hello

Hello.
I have recently discovered the My Fitness Pal app and site, so I figured that I would give it a shot.
Here are my stats:
36 year old male
6 feet tall
230lbs (at last weigh-in on Sunday 04/27/2014)
My goal weight is 200lbs.
When I was I was around 21, I went from 180 to 220 in a few months. You can probably guess how I accomplished such a feat. Since then, I've floated around the 220lbs mark. Sometimes I went above and sometimes I dropped below. 220lbs seemed to be my homeostasis weight. The heaviest that I have been was 245lbs and the lightest that I've been was 206lbs; both for a short time.
I've lived the good life for so long that it was difficult to make a change. I have started and stopped for years, but nothing seemed to be sustainable for me. Last week, I started reading "The 4 Hour Body". The slow carb diet that Tim Ferriss outlines actually appealed to me. I figured that I'd give it a try for a couple of weeks to see how it works out. I am also logging my food and exercise on MFP. I am currently on day 3 and haven't had any problems really craving anything.
Anyway, that is me introducing myself. Feel free to add me as a friend or stop by to say hello.
